Lorraine has been an invaluable resource in helping me to recapture my French. I learned to speak French as a child but had lost it as I aged and was not using it often. Lorraine organized a lesson plan focused on my specific needs and timing. The lessons are done using Skype which works wonderfully. On a recent trip to France I was able to apply my new learnings and spoke with a lot more confidence. I would highly recommend Lorraine to students of all ages. She is a pleasure to work with.

✪✪✪✪✪ After just 8 weeks, I am amazed at how well both play
Initially I was looking for a piano teacher for my daughters for the summer. I saw that Lorraine was also a French Tutor, so I asked her to tutor my high school daughter for review/get ahead prior to returning to school in the fall. It worked out great. In terms of piano, for my younger daughter (8 yrs), Lorraine recommended manageable lessons and songs that allowed her to progress quickly (she was playing songs with both hands by 7 weeks). For my older daughter, she also added music theory, which I also liked. After just 8 weeks, I am amazed at how well both play. My older daughter also took an hour of French lessons in order to brush-up/enhance her french prior to taking French II in the fall. Lorraine took a lot of time to assure my daughter understood the verbs, conjugations, etc. What I also liked, was that she worked with her on conversation, not just talking to her in french, but assuring she uses the correct verb/tenses and correct pronunciation. This helped her a lot in her confidence. Lorraine is very patient, enthusiastic, able to work with a broad age of students, and clearly enjoys tutoring. I would highly recommend her.

My son Jakob, age 7, has been a piano student of Miss Lorraine for just over a year. Jakob has an inherent love for music, but Miss Lorraine is helping him to understand the guidelines, meanings, history and proper etiquette behind the music. He is a very energetic child, but manages to digest the things she teaches and suggests. She is able to laugh with him and put things into perspective for a 7 year old, but also teach him with a firm yet gentle approach. We enjoy her lessons every week & look forward to having her work with our other boys as they grow.
